Real Property Systems
The Office of Real Property, a division under the Department of Taxation and Finance, has entered into a contract with Tyler Technologies to deliver an enterprise, multi-tenancy capable and web based Real Property Tax System (ACES, previously called RPSv5) to replace their current Real Property Tax System (RPSv4). This system's solution will allow New York State to facilitate better decision-making, provide increased productivity for employees, improve public access, and reduce the risk of falling victim to outdated technology. It will also provide the ability to maintain and support a Real Property System for up to 1,100 assessing jurisdictions throughout the State for many years to come in an effective and efficient manner.
The selected candidate will be responsible for all phases of the System Development Life Cycle for a multi-tiered complex system. The responsibilities will include both new development as well as maintenance tasks. Specific tasks will include:
-Managing the overall Project Schedule
-Identifying and documenting Risk and Communication tasks
-Documenting minutes in Stakeholder meetings
-Conduct user and management meetings.
-production support tasks including analysis of issue, propose and implement solutions;
-mentoring less experienced staff; and developing documentation.
