This individual will play an important role in the transformation of the Risk Identification function, as part of the overall firmwide transformation. This individual will contribute to a risk identification effort which is more rigorous, more quantitative, and more useful to others in the firm. The Risk ID team works with businesses and functions across the firm on a global basis to identify all material risks, across all risk types and all geographies. The Risk ID team is also responsible for identifying enterprise risks that span multiple risk categories as part of its top risks process.


This individual will support the top risks process and is expected to:

• Contribute actively on a quarterly basis to updating the top risks, in partnership with first line and second line colleagues, including assessment of next steps and downstream implications such as management actions and business implications (e.g., strategic and capital planning, stress testing)

• Develop key supporting frameworks (e.g., emerging risks, candidates dispositioning, materiality) as applicable to the top risks process. Inclusive of procedures, guidance, and other necessary documentation

• Work with colleagues to develop a rigorous set of metrics which can help to indicate whether risks are becoming more or less significant, including risk appetite and concentration metrics

• Contribute to the continuing automation of the risk identification platform

• Liaison with other teams within Risk Identification to ensure cohesive execution of quarterly processes.


• 7-10 years' experience in financial services

• Prior risk identification, appetite, scenario design experience or related big 4 consulting preferred

• Ability to problem solve, sound business judgment, and demonstrated result orientation

• Outstanding analytical and quantitative capabilities; history of academic and/or demonstrated professional excellence and achievement

• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication. Diplomacy skills required to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas

• Collaborative work style; effectively interacts with partners across organizational boundaries/hierarchies

• Highly proficient in MS PowerPoint and Excel


• Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience required, Masters or equivalent experience preferred.
