Funds Technology Business Analyst
Location: Jersey City, NJ or Tampa or Columbus, Ohio
The IT Business Analyst is a position responsible for liaising between business users and
technologists to exchange information in a concise, logical, and understandable way in coordination
with the Technology team.
This position is to work within the Funds Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to
contribute to identify and implement best practices within Fund Accounting and to play a role in the
design, test, and implementation of creative solutions for our clients.
Responsibilities:
• Formulate and define systems solutions for complex projects and work with Development
and business users to design, test and release these solutions to the production
environment.
• Consult with users and clients to solve complex system issues/problems through in-depth
evaluation of business processes, systems and industry standards and recommends
solutions. Document the functional specifications and provides user and operational
support when new developments are initially released into a production environment.
• Support systems change processes from requirements through implementation and
provide input and solutions based on analysis of information.
• Identify and communicate risks and impacts, considering business implications of the
application of technology to the current business environment. Appropriately assess risk
when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation
and safeguarding Major Global Bankgroup, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable
laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding
personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing, and
reporting control issues with transparency.
• Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members. Act as advisor or coach
to new or lower-level analysts and work as a team to achieve business objectives,
performing other duties and functions as assigned
Qualifications:
• 4 years of relevant experience in financial services industry. Fund Accounting experience
an advantage but not essential.
• Experience in data analysis with intermediate/advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills
• Proven interpersonal, data analysis, diplomatic, management and prioritization skills
• Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication.
• Proven ability to manage multiple activities and build/develop working relationships.
