Description of Role & Team

The Finance Reporting Senior Analyst is an integral member of the Corporate Regulatory Reporting Group. The Corporate Regulatory Reporting Group is a high-profile function, providing financial information to the regulators including Client Bank (FRB) and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC). The position will implement and deliver critical projects to review data used by various key regulatory reports, design and implement compensating controls to improve measurement of CDE quality. The position will have a high level of visibility within the organization with opportunities to work directly on a regular basis with Management and will also interact very closely with other groups throughout Major Global Bank, including Risk, Treasury, Controllers, SEC Reporting, Financial Planning & Analysis, Finance & Risk Systems Operations, and Basel teams. In addition, this position will work collaboratively with the Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR) Central Coordination Team to help strengthen Client's FR Y-14 reporting process.


CDE and CDE Requirement Review:

• Supporting CDE review for key regulatory reports (Y9C/Call, Y14 and extend to other reports) with a focus on various financial products (securities, wholesale / retail loans, derivatives, SFTs, debt, etc.) and balances (including P&L, average balances) used in above mentioned regulatory reports.

• Review key reporting production process documentation to identify data elements used by above mentioned key regulatory reports.

• Work with stakeholders (report owner, report producer and other key SMEs supporting reporting production) to document and maintain risk based Critical Data Elements used

• Review existing data quality controls and design fit-for-purpose data quality requirements.

• Work with technology to implement data quality rules and perform User Acceptance Test.

• Work with report owner and report production team to monitor Data Quality Exceptions to identify real data concerns/issues as well as corresponding reporting impact and document accordingly


• 4 years of relevant experience, within Finance, Accounting or related field, the financial services industry preferred

• Familiar with report production process, especially how data is being used by various regulatory reports (Y14 or Y9C)

• Familiar with at least one financial products (securities, or derivatives and SFTs, or wholesale loans, or retail loans) and data representing this (or multiple) financial products

• Analytical, flexible, team-oriented, with strong attention to detail

• Exceptional analytical, strategic and problem-solving skills coupled with a strong and broad- based finance and internal control skills and attention to detail

• Outstanding communication, interpersonal and influencing skills coupled with an ability to build a broad base of support among key decision makers at all levels of the organization. Demonstrated success in collaborating and building relationships and influencing across the organization

• Experience and demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a complex and dynamic environment. Self-motivated with the ability to make decisions in the absence of detailed instructions.
