The Global Research Center (GRC) of Client Research in North America is a full research office working with Equities Research, Fixed Income Research, Commodities Research, Equity Quant and Strategy teams. It also handles various critical functions such as RAD (Rapid Application Development), Research Distribution, Global Data Services and Risk Management. This role is part of the Web Scraping team within Client Research Operations Innovation Lab.

We are looking to hire a Web Data Analyst specializing in web scraping to join the Innovation Lab for a duration of 16 weeks. The successful candidate will work with the team and perform data extraction from major websites, public datasets, and subscription services to help identify trends and spot investment opportunities. The Web Data Analyst will be responsible for all aspects of the data collection, working with Senior Analysts based in different regions on requirements, building out the Web Scraping jobs using Kapow, collecting data and providing the post data aggregation results to the stake holders. The candidate will be part of a global team, strategically located in New York & Mumbai


• Act as a resource to Analyst teams in developing new proprietary datasets
• Interface with global team of Data Analysts to provide high level of service

• Act as curator of new datasets, documenting and performing quality checks
• Support of jobs that are built out to create new data sets

• Comply with the ethical standards contained in the Code of Conduct
• Adhere to firm policies and procedures, regulatory and legislative requirements

• Comply with Client Research policies and procedures, and stay up to date with all training requirements

Education: Recognized Bachelor's degree in any stream (such as IT, Sciences, Commerce, Arts)
Experience: 3-5 years of minimum relevant experience (using relevant software programs, programming tools etc.)

Ø Technical/Specialist skills/Competencies

• Prior skills with 3rd party web scraping tools like Mozenda, Kapow
• Regular Expressions and basic knowledge of HTML

• Basic Database knowledge a plus
• Exposure to a variety of software programs, analytical, statistical or programing tools a plus
• MS Office suite, including advanced Excel proficiency
