Responsible for the accurate and timely processing of equity and fixed income Voluntary corporate action events across markets.
The Corporate Actions areas purpose is to reconcile the entitled positions and then manage the risk to the firm and clients on securities undergoing a corporate event. The unit provides client-orientated support and utilises all processes of the other operational areas.
-Subject Matter Expertise on the processing of Voluntary Corporate Actions
-Front to back risk management across Elective events
-Reconciliation of Clients security holdings on internal systems across all platforms for both sub custody and global custody
-Support of Agency Lending processing, liaising with counterparties on deadlines, elections and entitlement processing
-Manage the risk of accurate and timely receipt and application of instructions received, against the security holdings.
-Timely Payment and reconciliation of all entitlements
-Management of risk, collating and applying instructions for any elective events against the security holdings.
-Calculation and allocation of new entitlements to position holders received as the result of a corporate action.
-Proactive management and active resolution of break items.
-Support and cover for team colleagues during period of extensive volume, holiday and cross training.
-Adhere to Corporate hygiene in a timely manner
-Understand and adhere to Restricted List and Sanction processes
-Support any market and business initiatives
-Proactive daily management of Checklists, End od Day Controls and Event level controls
-Collaborate with global Asset Servicing partners to being global consistency to processing, controls and client support
-3+ years Corporate Action experience
-Able to deal with high pressure situations and ability to prioritise in a timely manner successfully is essential.
-Good risk management approach. Skills:
-The incumbent needs to be numerically & computer literate due to the numerous system applications.
-Must have eye for detail.
-Must have good excel, Word and PowerPoint skills.
-Good communication and client service skills.
-Educated to A-Level standard minimum
