They provide consumers, corporations, governments and institutions with financial products and services, including consumer banking and credit, corporate and investment banking, securities brokerage, transaction services, and wealth management.
BUSINESS OVERVIEW:
The essential Focus of thea group is to act as a global central golden source for Products, Price, Account and Corporate Actions reference data. Strategic builds are currently underway which will help meet business goals for users throughout the Capital Markets front, middle and back office areas in addition to meeting the needs of support groups such as Finance, Risk, Compliance and Product Control.
A number of highly complex, inter-related, multi-year projects have been launched or are about to be launched. The identification of an effective Business Analyst will be critical for the success of each project.

By completing these initiatives we look to bring about significant improvements in the trade processing life cycle and serve as a true Operational Services Leader in the market place. PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
The Business Analyst will work with key users and the development team on all phases of the SDLC lifecycle in order to complete projects that will expand the firm's enterprise wide Account Reference Data platform. This work includes requirements analysis, completion of systems integration and user acceptance testing processes, support for production implementations and occasional assistance with end user queries and concerns.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Meet with decision-makers, systems owners, and end users to define business, systems, and operational requirements.
•Ensure that all stakeholders are involved in analysis and definition phases and that all tasks that require a technical a solution are identified in the project plans submitted for approval.
•Develop and review Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) for larger projects and Minor Development Documents (MDDs) for smaller engagements
•Ensure that high-level business requirements have been decomposed properly into useable functional requirements
•Manage changes to baseline requirements through a change control process
•Document functional specifications and SDLC required artifacts
•Create test scripts including specific test cases and expected results
•Develop and execute test plans that will ensure business requirements have been met
•Balance the needs and foster a relationship between the business and the technology areas
•Work with users and the development team to propose and develop technical solutions to business challenges
•Create flow diagrams, structure charts, and other types of system or process representations
•As appropriate, utilize design tools to create mock screens and prototypes
•Assist Project Manager with the project plan
•Ensure deliverables are being met on a timely basis
•Help facilitate the rollout of new applications to the user community
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS
Previous Experience:
•Minimum of 3 to 5 years of practical experience in analysis, design and implementation of projects or related experience, ideally within the financial services industry
•Completion of business and functional design documents
•Preparation and execution of test scripts
Competencies:
•Technically proficient in Microsoft Office products, MS Project and Visio.
•Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to facilitate discussions
•Ability to quickly grasp operational processes and business practices of key user groups
•Comfortable with working under tight deadlines or handling of unexpected requirement changes
•Ability to learn/understand some technical implications of system design
•Willingness to ask questions, challenge the process and seek out answers
•Ability to work independently, multi-task, and take ownership of various parts of the project
•Strong analytical and problem solving skills
•Understanding of Account Reference data would be helpful
